Project overview
Nestled on the edge of Newquay, Nansledan stands as a shining example of visionary urban planning and architectural refinement. Conceived as a vibrant extension of the Cornish town, this meticulously planned development unfolds across eight distinctive quarters, each with its own character, identity, and sense of place. Construction began in 2014, with the masterplan set to reach completion around 2045 — delivering a lasting legacy of high-quality homes, public spaces, and a thriving community.
Under the guidance of master planners and coordinating architects, Adam Architecture, the development progresses through carefully managed phases, each comprising between 25 and 100 homes. With 70 to 115 homes delivered annually, construction is finely tuned to balance market demand with the availability of skilled craftsmanship and materials. Overseen by the Duchy of Cornwall, the project brings together a consortium of local housebuilders, architects, engineers, and suppliers, all working in harmony to uphold the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and design integrity.
A project of this scale demands constant precision and innovation. To support its ambitious delivery, Nansledan has embraced modern construction solutions without compromising traditional aesthetics. FabSpeed’s prefabricated components — including half bricks and prefabricated chimneys — play an integral role in streamlining construction while preserving the visual language of the development.
Produced off-site to exacting standards, these elements not only accelerate installation but also guarantee consistency and longevity. Seamlessly integrated into the fabric of each home, they echo the handcrafted quality and architectural detail that define Nansledan. This thoughtful marriage of modern techniques and timeless design principles ensures that every brick and chimney contributes to a community built to endure — a place where craftsmanship, tradition, and innovation converge.
