Project overview

The BoTree Hotel, designed by EPR Architects, is situated at the crossroads of Marylebone, Mayfair, and Soho, blending the village-like charm of Marylebone, the sophistication of Mayfair, and the vibrant energy of Soho. This contemporary hotel offers 199 guestrooms, including 30 stylish suites, all crafted by Amsterdam-based designers Concrete. The interiors feature a mix of colourful, natural fabrics and eclectic textures, providing guests with a taste of world-class luxury.

Previously the site of Welbeck Street car park, the challenging structure inspired EPR Architects to design a new building focused on sustainability and longevity. The BoTree boasts a BREEAM Rating of Excellent, reflecting its commitment to conscious luxury by prioritizing people, place, and the planet.

The hotel’s exterior harmonizes with its surroundings, featuring Michelmersh Black Smooth bricks and elegant bronze accents. This thoughtful design seamlessly blends with Marylebone Lane’s smaller-scale architecture while offering a dynamic interplay of shadows with its staggered saw-tooth brick pattern. In contrast, the Welbeck Street side of the building uses concrete and reconstituted stone to reflect the area’s robust materials. LBT Brick & Facades helped to bring FabSpeed in to craft 15,000 Brick Specials to help create a striking interplay of texture and shadow on the BoTree Hotel.

A standout feature is the bronze lattice scaling the full height of the hotel, adorned with lush greenery. This architectural element captures The BoTree’s essence, merging its location’s distinct qualities.

Brick Slips

Brick slips are slim sections of brick, usually cut from the face of a full brick or manufactured specifically at a reduced thickness. They are used to create the look of traditional brickwork in cladding systems, prefabricated panels, or internal finishes, without the bulk of full bricks.
